House Paper Stock

Unless otherwise specified, all orders are printed on our “house” stock, which is 120 pound heavy matte cardstock. Please specify white or ecru/ivory at the time of order. You may request a linen finished cardstock for a small upcharge.

House Envelope Stock

Our house envelope stock matches the house paper. Colored envelopes are available for a slight upcharge.

Other Paper Options

We have access to thousands of different paper weights (thickness), colors and finishes (textures). If you have a specific vision, please share it with us and we will do our best to make it a reality. Please keep in mind that your print process does affect the type of paper that can be used. For instance, the thickest papers available cannot physically travel through a printer if you’re printing digitally (flat ink). If you want super thick, you have to use a printing process that accommodates that (engraving, letterpress or embossing)

Printing Processes Available

Digital and offset press lithography (flat ink), letterpress, thermography, engraving, embossing

Wedding Timeline / Turnaround

Custom invitation orders are requested to begin at least 4 months before your wedding date, if not much earlier to guarantee ample time for designs, proofing and printing. Save the dates are typically mailed at least 6 months before you wedding date so please contact the design at least 3 weeks prior to mailing your save the dates. Wedding invitations are mailed 6-8 weeks before your wedding and not any earlier. In the case in which save the dates were mailed, your invitations need to mail 6 weeks before your wedding date. We allow 2-3 weeks for calligraphy and stuffing so final approvals are needed 1 month before mailing for flat printing and 2 months before mailing for letterpress. All other wedding details are handled 1-2 months before the wedding date.

Non-wedding Timeline / Turnaround

Once an email is submitted with details for proof, please allow 3 days to receive a proof. If any changes need to be made, please reply back with them and allow 24-48 hours for changes to be made. Each order is offered two complimentary proofs. A charge of $5-$25 applies (depending on severity of changes) for each subsequent proof over 2.

Please check proof carefully for correct spelling, punctuation and grammar as well as address, date, time, names, phone numbers, etc. (carefully read over all that applies to your order). We will do our best to check for mistakes, but it is ultimately up to you to proof and approve your order. Also, as the customer, you are responsible for asking the charge for upgrades and changes that you make to your order after a quote has been given.

Should I send save the dates?

Totally up to you! But a good rule of thumb is if you are engaged less than 6 months and are not planning a destination wedding, its not necessary to do it. However, if you have room in your budget, save the dates are a great way to get info out quickly so that guests can get it on their calendar and get a hotel booked if necessary. The most important thing about save the dates to remember is that they set a great tone for your wedding but should proceed the wedding invitations by at least three months.
